buildings matter:

jewel like isolation, its symmetry,
its romantic past, and its pure materials.
- The Eiffel Tower looms as a unique
structure among traditional buildings,
boldly proclaiming its radical skeleton
which sweeps up in a graceful, gravity
defying curve.
- Romanesque churches and many Roman
ruins proclaim a simple rugged geometry
and uniform texture in earthy stone
or brick.
DESIGNERS' SECRETS
- Create long axes and vistas for distant
views that beckon, even in the smallest
house. We want to follow intriguing
paths.
- Convey a sense of discovery as you
enter each room, through contrast with
other rooms achieved in colors, textures
and furniture styles.
